My child is forced to visit extracurricular activities

In social networks and media you can often hear complaints from schoolchildren’s parents about additional classes, extracurricular activities, money collections and other requirements posed by teachers and school administrations. Read in our article about what to do if you face such a situation.

You must know!

Firstly, neither a school's administration nor a supervising teacher has the right to force your child to attend extra-curricular activities, especially those requiring a fee to be paid.
Secondly, should such situation come up, you can file a complaint with the district office of the Education Department of Almaty at the location of the educational institution.
The aforesaid relates to community cleanup events/neighborhood clean-ups, which are socially useful labor. Participation of children in such activities implies voluntary involvement and parental consent.
